before you start hand dredging pull the entire handle out and then dip the end in water and tighten the cap until you are comfortable with the suction. You will have a bag of extra parts with your purchase as well so no worry’s ! 

at the end of the day when you are done dredging you will unlock both latches and then carefully put all of the material you see into a gold pan. just tip it upside down and tap everything out. you can also take out the miners moss and clean that out as well. this is where all your big gold will be !

You can either bring something with you that will fit in the 1 inch nozzle to poke it out, or if you dont have anything a stick always works.
